Our December Los Angeles Writers/Creative People Hangout will be on Thursday, December 12. Virtual meetings will return in January. We will also have our annual potluck in January in Santa Monica. Details coming soon!

December 4: Author Ashley Merryman, NurtureShock, will be speaking about motivation, praise, and competition, at Canfield Avenue Elementary School, in the Pico/Beverlywood area of Los Angeles. The event, which runs 6 – 8pm, is free; there will be a book signing to follow.

December 6: Friday Night Social, sponsored by Scriptwriters Network and Jen Grisanti, at Busby’s East in Los Angeles.

December 8: Tongue in Groove Reading at Beyond Baroque starts at 5pm. Cathy Colman’s Writers & Workshoppers present poetry and prose, featuring readers Hal Ackerman, Debbon Ayer, Tracy DeBrincat, Liz Dubelman, Jeri Edwards, Marilyn Johnson, Judy Korin, Meredith Muncy, Wendy Murray, Roger Soffer, and Al Walton.  RSVP on Facebook.

December 8: Deadline to post your December Goals on Write On Online or Facebook and be entered in a drawing to win a book from Michael Wiese Productions. MWP Fans get the latest news about free online classes, international workshops, and more.

December 9: Deadline for submitting a 2-3 line news item or event for the December Newsletter to deckerling@gmail.com.

December 12: Write On!/Guided Goals Hangout for Writers & Other Creatives at Capital One 360 – Los Angeles Café, 11175 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, from 1 to 3pm. Note: the December Hangout is on a Thursday! LA Writers and Creative People, swing by the cafe for coffee and conversation. Like the cafe on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. RSVP on Facebook.
