At The Big Story Writers Conference

Carolyn Howard Johnson will be talking about “Mastering the Skills to Write Your Novel: Voice, Dialogue, Narrative” on February 20 at 5:45pm. She’ll also be on the panel, “I Have a Great Idea for a Book–Now What?” at 3pm.

Author-screenwriter-consultant Brad Schreiber will be delivering the keynote address on Saturday, February 21, on: “The Role & Responsibility of the Writer.” He’ll also be on a panel on “The Secrets of Professional Screenwriters.”

Danica Davidson’s children’s Minecraft novel, Escape from the Overworld, was just released. Aimed for ages 7-12, it follows an 11-year-old Minecraft character named Stevie who finds a portal into our world, causing the two worlds to collide.

Do your kids love to write? Want to encourage them to hone and expand their writing skills? Check out Purple Pencil Adventures: Writing Prompts for Kids of All Ages.  Although it’s geared towards kids, there are plenty of prompts adults can use to exercise those writing muscles! Write on!
