November 9: Petrea Burchard, G.B. Pool, and Bonnie Schroeder will discuss their books, their writing process, and how their varied backgrounds led them to the writing profession at the Glendale Library, 7 – 8:30pm. All three authors are dedicated to the craft and have interesting stories to share about the writing life. The trio will also read brief passages from their work and field questions from the audience.
November 14: IWOSC (Independent Writers of Southern California) and PALA (Publishers Association of Los Angeles) host a phone-in seminar on Self-Publishing, presented by Steven Spatz of Book Baby at 7pm. November 20: IWOSC presents a panel on “Writing in Teams” moderated by Greg Miller. Group dynamics, contracts, finding the right partner, danger areas, and more will be discussed. December 6: December LA Hangout at C&M Coffee and Milk Westwood Gateway, 11111 Santa Monica Blvd, in Westwood from 1-3pm. C&M will validate parking in the building. RSVP on Facebook.
