As the year comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on your 2016 accomplishments and plan your 2017 goals.
If you haven’t already done so, take a few minutes to take an inventory of your wins from 2016. Although you may not have done everything you set out to achieve in 2016, I’m sure you have lots to celebrate.
Now, start thinking about your 2017 goals. At the start of every year, I recommend setting:
- One to three personal goals
- One to three professional goals
Your personal goals help move your professional ones forward and vice versa. It’s good to have a primary (an alpha) goal and a secondary (beta) goal, especially for your professional projects. That way, if you get stuck on one, there’s another project waiting in the wings. There’s always something in progress, moving you forward.
If you want to achieve your goals, it’s important to look at them regularly. Post your list of goals wherever you look the most frequently, like on your mobile phone wallpaper, by your computer, or on the fridge.
Your goals can change during the course of the year, so feel free to re-assess them every one to three months. You can also post your monthly on Write On Online and your weekly goals on the Facebook Page.
Please share your 2016 Accomplishments and 2017 Goals in the comment section below.
Good job this year, best of luck next year, and Happy New Year!
Write on!
