Sandra de Helen’s short piece Missouri Summer Night will be published on Open Thought Vortex magazine’s website on Friday, August 4. Here’s the link.

J. Blair Brown picked up AIKAN ENTERTAINMENT, led by actor Nakia Dillard of HBOs The Wire, as a client. This Philadelphia based organization teaches ages five and up on acting skills, writing, directing and all things acting! Several of its students boasts film and TV gigs. They’re now developing production to film antics of Leroy, the lead character from J. Blair Brown’s book, Leroy and the Legend.

In Bruce Golden’s upcoming book Monster Town, private investigator Dirk Slade is looking for the killer of his best friend, as well as a missing teenager who just happens to be the son of Dracula. Along the way he encounters a host of old horror movie characters. A satire of old film noir and hard-boiled detective stories, Monster Town plays its mysterious plot straight, despite the bountiful list of quirky characters and its sardonic narration.

Listen to GetPublished! Radio. “Your host Gerald Everett Jones has the answers – because he’s already made all the mistakes himself,” radio announcer Bill Navarro quips. The podcast, which has been available on iTunes and other channels since last April, moved to a half-hour weekly broadcast, Sundays at Noon Pacific, on KNNN 87.7 FM in Redding, California. Out of the area, you can Listen Live or stream/download from podcast channels. Listen to my appearance on GetPublished Radio: Writing Posts that Engage.

The Tahoma Literary Review is accepting narrative nonfiction submissions on any subject. Full guidelines are here. Also accepting fiction and poetry submissions. They currently pay between $30 and $100.
