The rainy LA weather could not dampen the spirits of Write On! members who attended the first meeting of 2010. Welcome to Liz and Kate. And thanks to Laurie and Shella; Laurie shared a few more pages of her novel, while Shella treated us to her entry for last month’s Write On! contest for which she won third place.
After setting goals—for February, as well as personal and writing goals for 2010—we ended up in discussions of Goal Setting & Productivity and the difference between a goal list and a to-do list. We also had a brief chat about self-publishing vs traditional avenues.
Please post your 2010 Goals here. The next Write On! Meeting will be on February 10, 2010. Post your February Goals for a chance to win an iScript. And enter the Write On! January Challenge – Review Yourself! Write a review of an in-progress or finished story, poem, screenplay, or book that you have written; it will give you a chance to look at your work with a critical eye, while reigniting your enthusiasm for what you’ve written! Any questions, email debra@writeononline.com.
Happy Writing!

Hello Debra,
I’m interested in attending your writer’s group, and wondered how many attend? And is there a fee?

Hi She,
Thanks for contacting me. We usually get around 16 to 22 people. Last month with the rain, we had about a dozen, which was also nice. It’s a fun group of creative people. Next meeting is this Wednesday the 10th. Hope you can make it. No fee for writers group. Feel free to email me at debra@writeononline.com.
Happy Writing,
Deb
