Write On! Wednesday – Script Frenzy, Networking & More

Today, Purple Pencil Adventures speaks with 16-year-old author Heather Paye. Heather wrote her first novel–A Gift From Above–during National Novel Writing Month in 2008.

Speaking of NaNoWriMo,  Script Frenzy–the sister event from Office of Letters and Light–runs April 1- 30. Who’s up for writing a 100-page screenplay in a month? If you are participating in Script Frenzy, comment below with your user link, so all the Write On! Members can cheer each other on!

Friday, March 26: Mark Niu’s short film–Juche Rules–which he adapted from his award-winning, one-act play, is playing at the Edgemar Short Film Festival in Santa Monica. (The film is part of the 10:30 am block.) Mark is nominated for best screenplay.

Sunday, March 28: Nancy Mills, founder of The Spirited Woman, will be having an encore performance of her Tales of Downtown on Sunday from 3 – 6 pm at the City of Angeles Theater, 501 S. Monday, March 29: The March Film Courage Interactive at the Downtown Independent, 251 S. Main Street, Los Angeles, 90012,  will screen director Carey Corr’s political mockumentary A New Tomorrow For more info, go to downtownindependent.com. The monthly “mixer” runs from 7 to 11 pm.  Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased online or at the door.
