Thanks “Celebritizer” and author Gayl Murphy, Interview Tactics! for joining us for our December Meeting on Blog Talk Radio.
Gayl talked about how writers can promote themselves during the holiday party season. According to Gayl, during holiday party, people are less distracted with work and more likely to pay attention when you talk about yourself.
She says:
– Networking over the holidays is an easy way to exercise your pitching muscles to determine what works. If people engage with you, it works!
– Identify your target markets, so you can target them … and speak directly to them.
– Take your message and piggyback it on to a topic, or trend that’s already popular, so people can relate to it. Remember, you’re teaching them about who you are and what you do. So make it easy.
