Author, Actress and Speaker, Lee Gale Gruen, will give an author talk/book signing at the Los Angeles City Public Library on February 22 at 2pm about her memoir: Adventures with Dad: A Father and Daughter’s Journey Through a Senior Acting Class. It will be at the Central (Downtown) Branch, Meeting Room A, 630 W. 5th St, Los Angeles CA 90071.
Annette Pasternak, Ph.D., Write On member from “WAY back in the day,” has published her first book, Skin Picking: The Freedom to Finally Stop. It’s currently out as an ebook and will be released in print in April.
C.M. Mayo has just published Metaphysical Odyssey into the Mexican Revolution: Francisco I. Madero and His Secret Book, Spiritist Manual (Dancing Chiva). In a blend of personal essay and a rendition of deeply researched meaphysical and Mexican history that reads like a novel, award-winning writer and noted literary translator C.M. Mayo provides a rich introduction and the first English translation to the secret book by Francisco I. Madero, leader of Mexico’s 1910 Revolution and President of Mexico, 1911-1913. Brad Schreiber, author of the early years biography Becoming Jimi Hendrix, will be teaching a one week course at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, June 16-20, “A Writer’s Toolkit for Improving Fiction and Nonfiction.” Schreiber has written for all media, taught for the American Film Institute, UCLA, USC, Gotham Writers Workshop in New York and ran Chris Vogler’s Storytech Literary Consulting for a dozen years.
