POCHO broke two big stories in the last few weeks. POCHO Jefe-de-Content (and Write On member) Dennis Wilen aka Comic Saenz exposed a racist video uploaded by an area Realtor. The story went national, the video went viral and the uploader is “no longer with the company.” Jefe-in-Chief Lalo Alcaraz was the only reporter to got a response from a Bay Area landscaping company that allegedly sent a profane, racist email to a Cal Berkley student organization. Their response? “Our email got hacked!” Read the article.
The project Stephanie Belsky has been working on for human rights based water nonprofit DIGDEEP launched this week and runs through November 6. DIGDEEP’s 2nd annual “4 Liters Challenge” attempts to change the way Americans think about their water consumption by living off of only 4 liters of water for 24 hours. Learn more.
