September 2017 Meeting: September Goals & Networking

We held our September 2017 meeting last week at C&M Coffee and Milk Westwood Gateway in West Los Angeles. We talked about our goals and several gold – and green and silver – stars were given out (natch).

We also got into a conversation of the value of networking, and how it is just as much (if not more) about business and relationship development as it is about collecting new business cards. There needs to be conversations beyond the basics.

It’s also imperative to try new things, so you get out there and meet a variety of people in different circles. One of our newer members was sidelined for a while, and making up for it with some turbo networking. Others like me, aim for one networking event a week, and frequently come out ahead by doing more. Make it a goal to do something consistently, meet and enjoy conversations with new people, and see where it leads.

Everyone seemed pretty ready to take on the rest of the year, now that summer is over. A few members (including me) shared our goals for September.
