Your Congratulations are well deserved for “The Kings’ Speech”. My Mother was almost totally Deaf and spoke very loudly and was frustrated by Sign Language. I was her ‘Voice’ and Answer Machine too. Often humorous incidents when she would listen to a Conversation and reply with an answer to a Totally Different Question. Although often frustrating in communicating with anybody, she was always Sweet and Loving. (A good cook too.) She would Vacuum the floors whenever she wanted to since she couldn’t hear the noise of the machine. Everything else was normal, sort of. Respectfully, Dennis Dalrymple, Screenwriter.
