Congrats to Write On! member Robin Chappel, who won a copy of Write-A-Thon for calling in and asking a question!
Here are some of Rochelle’s tips from the show.
1. Connect with other writers. We tend to write more during NaNoWriMo because we connect with other people who are writing. We can borrow the energy of NaNo to do our own projects or take the energy into December and the new year by joining a writing group.
2. Be Disciplined. Despite the many movie portrayals of writers who drink or do drugs to get inspired, most writing gets done because we sit down to write every day whether we feel like it or not. As Madeleine L’Engle said, “We get inspired during the writing and not before.”
3. Think of your writing as your Beloved One. If we can think of our writing the way we think of a Beloved One, we would be less likely to let it go for weeks and months at a time. Can you imagine letting weeks go without connecting with the one you love? No! You make time for the people you love. So, make time for this project you love (or find a project you do love).
Congratulations, Ty Leisher, March winner of a book from Michael Wiese Productions, for posting goals. Post April goals below. You can also post goals...
