We talked about our proudest accomplishments for 2011 and setting goals for the new year. I always encourage writers to set one to three personal and professional goals at the start of the new year. It’s important to know what you are working towards, even if that changes during the course of the year.

Hello, good idea to post my writing goals. I’ve got those organized. What needs work is my publishing goals. LOL So, I’ll use the date of March, 2012, as a time for me to know where I wish to attempt to publish.
Having spent 2011 writing, getting feedback and rewriting… My goal for 2012 is to send my script out into the world for market, get it read and start work on the next project!
2012 is the year that the musical play I co-wrote Glitter Beach will be work-shopped and be picked up by producers to do local and national productions.
In addition, I will get a book deal for my autobiography, finish my documentary and get a distributor for it and hopefully sell or option a couple of screenplays.
Basically complete all my writing projects that I have been working on for the past 10 years and lift them to their highest good…then start a couple of new ones!

I got a job in development/writer for a new series this year and my goal for 2012 is to keep getting paid to write and of course sell the novel and the screenplay 🙂
