Happy April!

Are you writing a screenplay this month for Script Frenzy? Doing the Poem-a-Day Challenge for National Poetry Month? Or have you come up with something spectacular and ongoing to do during the month of April? You can win just for declaring Your April Challenge!

Here’s how it works:

1. Post in comments what you will be participating in during the month of April: Script Frenzy, the Writers Digest Poem-A-Day Challenge, or declare another “challenge,” such as writing a blog post a day, a submission a  day, a book, a book proposal, etc.

2. Go for it!

3. Keep us posted by responding to requests for progress on Write On! Online and on the Facebook page.

4. Write! And have fun!

5. Three winners will be chosen at random to receive one of these books thanks to Michael Wiese Productions. Like MWP on Facebook.

Bankroll: A New Approach to Financing Feature Films (2nd Edition) by Tom Malloy

Hollywood Game Plan: How to Land a Job in Film, TV and Digital Entertainment by Carole M. Kirschner

The Complete Filmmaker’s Guide to Film Festivals: Your All Access Pass to Launching Your Film on the Festival Circuit by Rona Edwards and Monika Skerbelis

Post the way in which you will Challenge Yourself in April, as a comment to this post. Every time you post, during a call for updates, you will receive another entry in the drawing! Keep your eye on the Facebook page for bonus entry opportunities!

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 15, on Write On! Online and in the May Write On! Newsletter.

I am doing the Script Frenzy to knock out a first draft of a new screenplay. I am excited. I love deadlines.
I am also continuing my queries for my novel and potentially some for my other screenplay and TV writing stuff.

My goal was to publish a 25th Anniversary Edition of The Castleweaver’s Tales: A Dozen Glimpses of Medieval Madness, a very dark medieval poetry chapbook. Well, I did it, I’m waiting for my proof in the mail. I hope to push the button to release it the 1st week of May.

I also started an author’s fanpage on FB. About time I got started, right? 🙂
