We had a small, but mighty, group for the June 2017 meeting yesterday at C&M Coffee and Milk Westwood Gateway in West Los Angeles. Lots of fun brainstorming and project progression. Plus, I handed out several gold stars. So a big, “Whoo hoo!”
Plus, I proposed a June Networking Challenge, based in part on my Networking Experiment article in Westside Today.
Watch for my videos on the Write On Facebook page, throughout the month, which offer tips for ways to step up your networking game.
Your first assignment: Do one live meeting each week this month. This can be a lunch, coffee, dinner, mixer, booksigning, workshop, anything. Need places to find events? Ask friends and peers for recommendations, search Meetup, or do a Google search for events in your area.
Watch the video for the June 2017 meeting recap and more info on the June networking challenge.
By the way, for those keeping track I completed last month’s bonus goal of making clam chowder. Not sure yet what I will stop over-thinking, but I’ll figure something out let you know how it goes.
The next LA meeting is on July 12 at C&M Coffee and Milk. RSVP on Facebook.
Note: We are meeting on the second Wednesday, rather than the day after the July 4th holiday.
The Facebook group for Write On Online is designed to facilitate conversations, as well as encourage community and connection among members. There are daily threads where people can chime in, share their thoughts and links, and so on. Feel free to invite other writers, creatives, and entrepreneurs to join.
Don’t forget to post your June 2017 Goals. Please also share what networking events you plan to attend this month in the comments. #WriteOn
