Write On! Wednesday – UCLA Writers Faire, Sublime Primetime, & More

Thursday, August 19: L.A. Charity Speed Shrinking Party from 7 to 9 pm at Busby’s East 5364 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, celebrating the release of Susan Shapiro’s Speed Shrinking in paperback. Sunday, August 22: UCLA Extension Writers’ Program presents the 2010 Writers Faire from 11 am – 3 pm at the Young Hall Courtyard on the UCLA campus. Exhibit mall opens at 10 am. Admission is free. Parking is $10. Go to the website to read the event schedule.

Thursday, August 26: The Writers Guild Foundation and Writers Guild of America West present Sublime Primetime, panel of 2010 Emmy-nominated writers from 7:30 – 9:30 pm at the Writers Guild Theater, 135 S. Doheny Dr., Beverly Hills. Lost’s Carlton Cuse will moderate the panel, including Rolin Jones – Friday Night Lights; Mindy Kaling – The Office; Robert King & Michelle King – The Good Wife; Steven Levitan – Modern Family; Bruce C. McKenna and Robert Schenkkan – The Pacific; Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk & Ian Brennan – Glee; and Andy Richter – The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.
