Am very excited to announce the release of my ebook: Purple Pencil Adventures: Writing Prompts for Kids of All Ages. Do your kids love to write? ForthMagazine seeks new works of fiction, 1K word limit, for its online publication. They have a weakness for regional fiction – stories and authors connected to Los Angeles County – but foremost they love great narratives with quality and original language and content from anywhere by well-known or emerging voices. FORTH Magazine does not pay authors at this time. Nor do we charge a submission fee. More info here.

The Tahoma Literary Review is now accepting narrative nonfiction submissions on any subject. Full guidelines are here. Also accepting fiction and poetry submissions. They current pay between $30 and $100.

July 24: Book’d in Burbank “The Ultimate Bibliophiles’ Night Out” at Theatre Banshee in Los Angeles is a bookish social gathering that treats book lovers to an evening of author readings and literary entertainment. Festivities to include mystery, romance, and YA author readings, stand-up comedy, giveaways, and a mingling reception. Details here.
